There’s something I really like about the tone of The Long Dark.  That feeling of being in the North when electricity isn’t there to help you. Snow piled up with the aurora borealis becoming its own character.  Real survival gameplay that isn’t just about killing everything that moves.  A strong narrative with interesting characters, the kind of crazy folks who can also survive in that harsh future world.  A distinct art style oozing with style that makes everything feel haunted.  It has definitely seduced me.

Of course all that would be meaningless without a good team making the game.  Fortunately they have that too.  A bunch of seasoned vets, including Brain Dump alumni Raphael van Lierop and Marianne Krawczyk.  And hey,  they’ve even added Elias Toufexis to the voice cast.  And naturally it makes complete sense the game is headquarter in Canada where they understand isolation and cold.

Take a look at The Long Dark on Kickstarter.  It may seduce you too.

I picked a good group for my first time playing Cards Against Humanity.

Not done storming the castle, are you?  The good people at Zen Studios decided that what CastleStorm fans needed was a new playable hero character, new weapons, new maps, more destruction, mayhem and all that good stuff that you come to expect from this delightful game.  Heck, just watch the trailer.

“The Warrior Queen” is the second DLC pack for CastleStormOut today on XBLA (and on Steam as well).  Now go blow stuff up!

Hey, look what I got in the mail, it’s a book by that actor guy I know. In it I will find out what happens when no one can die. I’m guessing procrastination is elevated to a high art.
