Follow up on my earlier post:  apparently Facebook and Frank Gehry are planning a new office space which apparently will be “the largest open floor plan in the world” housing over 2800 engineers. People think open spaces are great for collaboration, and for some personality types they are.  For others there’s strong evidence that they are detrimental.  But no one would say that, because no one wants to appear to be anti-collaboration, now do they…

Naturally, this is Wilder’s 1960 nightmare office from The Apartment brought to life in modern day.  We have arrived.

Imagine my surprise and delight to find out my daughter’s school library has a whole section dedicated to Choose Your Own Adventure books. Who knew that was still a thing? And stranger still, they’re all ancient, and exactly the same ones I was reading when I was a kid. I hope they stand up to my memories of greatness.

In Psycho, detective Arbogast also looks directly into the camera when he is first introduced.

From deep in the Matt Booty & Midway archives comes… Fear & Respect.  The game cool enough to get a Game Informer cover, John Singleton and Snoop Dogg starpower probably helped with that.  Not really the GTA clone everyone assumed it to be, moral choices in the ‘hood with tactical shooting gameplay.  An unlikley mix, but something I always liked.   In concept, anyway.  It never came out.
